This is related to the client's network blocking resources from Jira, to be received by the browser leading it to not being able to render the sidebar. The way this is blocked, under the client's network, changes from case to case (sometimes proxies, firewalls or even GPOs ). Diagnostic Steps. In Chrome, open the development Panel

This did not work for me. I am not able to do the "Reset Settings" menu due to organizational policy control. I tried manually resetting everything under "Clear Browsing Data". I wasn't being careful what I selected and lost a bunch of work in my open tabs that now I can't remember. They aren't in "recently closed tabs" either.
Cannot connect to Jira Dashboard in Chrome. Just now (and this has happened before) when I try to open Jira in Chrome it won't load. It doesn't ask for the security certificate and it times out. Have tried shutting down Chrome and restarting to no avail.
